Removing pen from outside wall- help

Any tips? After 8 years of more or less refusing to hold a pen ever, ds1 has taken up drawing (scribbling) with a vengeance. Our outside wall is covered, decking has been got at as have various plastic items in the garden (including eglu). Any tips on getting it off? Just scrubbing and and washing up liquid? Is there an easier way, it was pretty tricky to get off hands yesterday.

Oh how lucky that after years of living in what looks like a squat we're in the middle of decorating the front room

I'm afraid I've never even tried

Oh I don't normally- have had scribbles on living room wall for 3 years just gone with decorating, half heartedly tried to remove the ones on the kitchen cupboards to no avail. But our outside has been 'done' so is one of the few nice areas of our squat iykwim. And because ds1 is so big now he kind of covers a large area. Don't know whether to laugh or cry. Is very good that something has interested him, and really very, very good that he did something all alone, and very good that it's drawing so can lead onto Better Things. Just wish it had been elsewhere (and ds3 will copy!)

WD40? Oil-in-one, though that might leave a greasy mark of its own! If it's on wood then sanding and repainting may be the way to go.

wd40's an idea...... thanks for that; will give it a go. The decking can't really be sanded because its ridged. I'm not alll that fussed about the kitchen as it needs scrapping anyway tbh. Now if he touches the front room......

Re the decking, could you cover over the marks with another, darker, pen? I imagine rain and sun will wear it away eventually, anyway. at the eglu - is it for chickens or rabbits?
