Jumble sales-any tips,holding one tomorrow

what stuff sells well,what doesn't?
any other tips?
I have been warned that people can get arsey at them.

In my experience, the best advice I can give you is - DON"T DO IT!!!!!!! I did one last Summer - it was INCERDIBLY hard work, occupied a lovely sunny Saturday, we were left with an enormous pile of stuff to get rid of,and, to cap it all, we realized that if all the helpers had chipped in 7 quid we would have made more money for our good cause. Sorry - hope somebody comes along with a more positive story!

mark everything up as oaps will expect to pay 10p for everything

oh dear-wasn't planning on putting prices on anything.Have a garage full of jumble from all the mums,will have to divide it out to get rid of after .

get plenty of small change and decent things to put the money in. tubs with lids or something.

How did it go?

went quite well,we made about £150,not musch but I was relieved that people came aat all.
And some grubby looking man in a pick up truck miraculously appeared at the end and offered to take the mountains of crap we had left over.I was so pleased I wanted to kiss him.
