How did you celebrate your 30th

Just that. Mind fast approaching

I was born in the 60s so I had a 60s karaoke for my 30th.

I went to an owl sanctuary.

Takeaway at home with DH and our four kids. Went out a few days later for a meal and a few drinks with him a few nights later to make up for it.

I booked myself a tour of Laos , Vietnam and Thailand for that summer !!

I was 4 months pregnant , so had half a Guinness in Stratford upon Avon

Had a few friends round to mine for drinks and a takeaway.

When people asked me what I wanted for my birthday I asked for experience type gifts. So for my 30th I did an escape room, a cookery class, went white water rafting and visited an alpaca trail. Each gift giver came with me on the experience they bought me so I got to spend time with my nearest and dearest too. She's gift was a weekend in London which was amazing too.

Stayed in a lovely B&B in Bath and visited friends who lived there. Very quiet and exactly what I wanted.

DP made pancakes for breakfast! We went out for a lovely meal just the two of us in the evening. We also got engaged on my 30th so that was amazing! X

5 nights in Lanzarote it was out of peak season so not to expensive. Wouldn't normally do anything but wanted an excuse for a holiday

Camping in the dales with now dh. Us, a camper van, quite a lot of rain. Wine. Lovely!

My DP threw me a party. It was supposed to be a surprise but I found out when he sent an invitation to my boss (I open his mail). For some reason I got really nervous beforehand and turned up very drunk. Had a great time but remember very little of it!

I got pregnant.

I got married

I celebrated in Florida!

We had a party. And I made the cakes and they were amazing :)

Flew to Dublin for the weekend with my friends, had an amazing time!

30th is fast approaching too and we’re all going to Caribbean for it. (Dp,dc and me) my family have suggested a meal just before too. Most of my friends that already have children have tended to have a spa day or something small, those without have had big lavish parties or big holidays (to Marbella, Ibiza etc so a ‘party’ type holiday) with a group of friends. To be honest I don’t think I would have done the holiday but I was pregnant on my 21st birthday and quite poorly so I wanted to enjoy what I would of done for my 21st, I’m not the going out type so would rather go away and relax. Is there anything you would like to do OP? Do you want to have a big party or are you more inclined to have a fancy meal or something?
