Hey Everyone,

I have had just over a year off with my DD, sadly I will be returning to work in a couple of weeks doing 4 days a week. My MIL will be having her 2 days and my Mum will be having her the other two days.

I know I’m really lucky to have over a year off work, to have family as my childcare and to be going back PT, but I can’t help but feel sad.

I don’t let it affect me in the day, but once my DD has gone to bed I cry when I think about returning to work. I’m worried she will love my MIL/Mum more than me or won’t love me as much.

I would love to hear your experiences of returning to work after maternity leave.

Xxx

Aw bless, I know how you feel and it is worrying. However, once you're back in the swing of things you'll be fine, I promise.

Quick update:

I did a trial run with both sets of parents last week. I cried my eyes out on both occasions. I missed her soooooo much! I was constantly thinking about her the whole time I was without her. When I went to collect her and she came crawling towards me I could feel myself filling up. I think I'm going to spend my first week at work in the bathroom Sad
