want to join this group www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=2236538534&ref=share

It is the Anti-public breastfeeding group.

Read the girl's rants. She is an effing idiot.

But my point is, what's the point of getting all upset about comments on another website and bringing it on to MN? They are millions of websites and lots of them will have views you adhere to and many will have views that upset you.. it's out there for all to express their little foibles.

MN is often offensive about lots of groups of people for example so called 'chavs' if you like, but you dont get them coming on MN reporting posts etc.

It's crackers and pompous!

Malmaman - I was just highlighting this girl's ignorance.

I see what you are saying but we discuss other people's outrageous comments all the time...from the Daily cackin' Mail to the Beeb and so on and so forth. I don't see how this is any different.

She is an idiot.

I don't know if Facebook would revoke her group as it does that they won't accept your complaint if 'all' you are bothered about is the statement that is being made.

Hope they do do something about it though.

'say' is supposed to be between 'does' and 'that'.

As a lively facebooker I've just reported this too. I was lucky enough to be able to breastfed my daughter wholly until seven months and then mixed fed with formula until she was 10 months. Personally I never felt really comfortable breastfeeding in public and I'm certainly not pro or anti public breastfeeding. I would normally, as malmaman says, just ignore someone like this but actually I think her group goes beyond expressing a straightforward view that she doesn't like women breastfeeding in public (fair enough, I didn't really enjoy it much either and my DH hated it!)but the vicious way she expresses it. Sounds like she has real 'issues' and she even makes it clear she's not prepared to enter into discussion or debate.
