Yes, shortbread's fab and holds its shape nicely when you use cutters - leave to cool before trying to get them off the rack though as they can be quite delicate until they've "set". I do think you need to use proper butter to get the full flavour and I sometimes add some vanilla essence for a twist. Adding some cocoa (about 1oz) is good too for chocolate shortbread.
