I thought I'd start this thread as a sort of "opposite" to a good slapping!!

If I knew who/where mears was there would be a real bouquet on the way to her.

Thanks very much mears for all your help- I wish I'd been one of your patients/ clients/ whatever. You deserve a medal

I second your vote bashful.

I would also like to nominate my lovely childminder who worked so hard to win the trust of my very clingy and timid dd and always does lovely things with her.

Azzie · 25/07/2002 15:09

All the nursery nurses at my ds and dd's nursery - my kids are sooo happy there, and because of them I don't have to worry about my children while I'm at work.

Also my MIL for valiantly looking after both of my children singlehanded for a whole weekend so that dh and I could have some time away together.

Marina · 25/07/2002 15:49

A third vote for Mears from me and I'd second Azzie's cyberbouquet for the nursery nurses, ours are great women whom all the children love.
Enid, I am so glad to hear that dd has settled well with her childminder!
Nice idea for a thread, bashful.

Agree, nice thread! I'd send a cyber bouquet to

*my ex-mil who has stayed friendly, nice and involved with me (and ds) despite my leaving her son.

  • DP, who always listens to me, calms me down, cooks for me, loves me and puts up with my awful pmt by keeping his mouth shut for a few days a month.
  • ex-DH who is letting me stay this weekend so I can come to the meet up.
Bozza · 25/07/2002 17:32

Well done to your ex-mil and to you WWW for maintaining the relationship - very important for your son. Too often the paternal grandparents miss out when parents split up.

Mopsy · 25/07/2002 17:36

To dp's ex-dw, for leaving him

Glad it's still going well with dp mopsy. Are you managing to stay off the subject of marriage?!!! (or am I confusing you with someone else?

PamT · 25/07/2002 21:39

I think Dixie deserves a cyber bouquet after all she's been through - and still managed to post advice for others.

Mopsy · 25/07/2002 22:45

Yes it's me www and no, haven't mentioned the forbidden word. A few days ago he asked me to go to India with him next year for his 40th so I'm feeling pretty secure about a medium-term future at least. Thanks for remembering! Hope all's still good for you too. M xx

I'd like to give a bouquet to MABS this morning and wish her and her DS all the best at the hospital. We'll all be thinking of you.

mears · 26/07/2002 12:14

Thankyou very much Bashful, Enid and Marina. I sat here blushing when I saw my name on this thread I would send a cyberbouquet to my dh for having stopped nagging me for the amount of time I am on mumsnet

My fantastic in laws who cheerfully take the sluglet whenever she's offered to them. Thanks to them I have been able to work 2 days a week ever since she was 3 months old, which saved my sanity. I was going mad as a SAH mum. Bless them they even took her for 6 days while dh and I lived it up large in Ireland.

Mopsy · 26/07/2002 14:09

To Mabs and little ds for being brave. xx

leese · 26/07/2002 18:08

My cyber bouquet goes to CAM and Sadmum for their rotten times, and a nice one to Melly too.

leese · 26/07/2002 18:12

Forgot - an extra big bouquet to lou33

tigermoth · 27/07/2002 14:16

My cyber bouquet also goes to dixie - hope you're doing OK.

emsiewill · 27/07/2002 16:48

My cyberbouquet goes to tigermoth; she never fails to give thoughtful and helpful advice on many different topics - I wish I was as eloquent and wise as her.

CAM · 27/07/2002 18:03

thank you very much leese, although totally undeserved. I have lots of cyber bouquets to give out, to everyone on here who has given me advice - it has all genuinely helped me. Thank you, girls.

ionesmum · 27/07/2002 22:34

I've been given sooo much help on mumsnet, esp. with my b/f problems and dd's colic. I'd just like to send you all my cyber-bouquet - I don't know what I'd have done without you!

tigermoth · 28/07/2002 07:50

Thanks emsiewill! and if advice means a bouquet, I'd have buy up a florist to repay everyone for answering my questions here.
