Does anyone use onetel for their landline and/or broadband? Is it definitely cheaper than BT?

We use it for landline and it is DEFINITELY cheaper than BT and easy to set up.

MancMum · 19/08/2004 18:11

it is cheaper but I found it quite unreliable and the customer service is appalling... when I tried to cancel contract they really messed me around and I HATE THEM!!

Sure they are OK but not by me!!

Davros · 19/08/2004 19:17

Oooh, we're quite new so no bad experiences so far...

Davros · 19/08/2004 19:17

Mind you, second thought, BT is utter crap esp in cust svs! and costs more

Hayls · 19/08/2004 19:20

We use it and have had no problems so far. If you go to uswitch.com they compare costs for you, that's why we decided to go with Onetel for INternet and are just about to chenge for landline (when I can be bothered!)

yup, onetel is definitely cheaper than BT or NTL especially on overseas calls. however, you do have to (sometimes) put up with noisy connections and on busy traffic days not being able to get through the number you want. ditto on customer service but then, which telephone company actually has a good customer service department?
