Hi all,
I’m new to this site. My partner and I are considering a move from South East London to York. We are due to have our first baby in March.
Our reasons are quality of life, affordable housing and to be nearer to family.
I’m a little apprehensive having lived in London for a long time, and how easy it will be to meet new friends (I’m 41).
My actual question though, is where are the good areas surrounding York? We would like to be in reasonable distance (thinking 2-5 miles) of the city centre and train station.
