How do i make a reference grid?

I need it to have something like 7 lines down and 7 lines across.

Is it on "word" or something like that?
I dont have a clue about computers so explain slowely and clearly....

On word
Insert table (from table menu}.
Select no of rows and columns.

oh, that easy,
I can do that...
