Any advice on Leamington Spa as a place to live with a family? Are there any areas to avoid? I know the north is more desirable but I don't think we could afford it. We've seen a couple of properties come up in Whitnash that look good. Also considering Coventry and other areas, but I like the feel of Leamington Spa. Any advice much appreciated!

Great for families if you can afford it. Great cafe culture, parks and shopping with loads of things to do as a family or in the evening. Whitnash definitely cheaper but you don't get the real Leam feeling. Town small enough to feel cosy but getting much busier with all the new houses being built.
We lived there in an extended lovely Victorian terrace just South of the river so walkable into town but not on a particularly nice st. Moved to Binley in Coventry 2 yrs ago to a lovely house twice the size for £50K less than our house in Leam . Garden 4 times as big and drive etc but miss the cafe culture of Leam.

Also, people can be a bit pretentious........got on our nerves!
