So the other month I went into costa with my two step children. My 4 year old needed the toilet so my husband (their dad) shower him where it was. He immediately closes the door and locked it so no one can come in a good habit I would have thought. But apparently no what my husband was no aware of was that the toilet seat was broken so he sad on the toilet and the seat slipped and squished his fingers under it getting him stuck on the toilet. After having to force his was in he was crying and his fingers where all squished.

So as this was a broken toilet my husband went to the till and spoke to the manager who at first blew it of but when he made a fuss write it in the accident report book.

I have since been in their and also got my finger trapped and the broken toilet seat has still not been fixed. I believe this to just be plain laziness and not enough care for H&S.

What do you mums think

I wouldn’t encourage a 4 year old to look the door.

Well yes it should be fixed but 4 is awfully young to be licking doors in toilet. I've only just let my 6 and 9 year old lock doors and it still gives me the jitters that they will get locked in .

I wouldn't want anyone to lick toilet doors at any age 🤢🤮

I wouldn’t be encouraging a four year old to lock themselves in a public loo.

I also wouldn’t be sticking my own fingers near what I knew to be a broken public loo seat several days (weeks?) later.

Odd thread.
