second stage car seat for MG ZR

I am having a lot of trouble finding a second stage car seat for my MG ZR ( its very similar to a rover 25). A lot of the top makes don't fit in it properly due to the way the seat belt lies. Is there anyone out there who can recommend a suitable seat?

My son is in a Britax Javelin (which they say is suitable from 9 months, but I wouldn't trust it that young), that fits nicely in my ZR. Think I'm just about to have the same problem with first stage seats, I need to retrieve mine from the loft and see if it fits. What kind of first stage seat did you have and did it fit well?
