can i return unopened medicine?

i asked my mum to get ds some calpol from boots today but she came back with medised which makes him really drowsy so i can't use it in the day time. do you think i would be able to return it or not?

If its unopened it should be OK , when I had mastitis and DH was in charge he got the wrong nipplecream - I am allergic to lanolin - and took it back to the Tesco pharmacy and they changed it ( or gave him his money back, can't remember exactly) - it probably depends on their policy but it's worth a try.

just laughing to myself i sent dh to the chemist in spain for thrush cream and they didnt speak english so he ended up dancing arounf the shop doing actions (dont ask you wouldnt want to know )
he came back with the cream but i was pmsl so much i didnt need it for ages

why should i say dh and not mum? Confused

is cream different to medicine though? boots wouldn't change a tin of milk for me yet tesco would.
