Sorry if this is a stupid question, but last week we had an offer accepted on a flat, only to discover a few days later that two major building projects are about to start across the road from it - one is a nine-storey block of flats, and the other is four tower blocks, of which the tallest will be 18 storeys. The flat is nice and it's in a good location, but we need to think about being overshadowed by all those tower blocks. The other big issue is how noisy the work is going to be (it will involve demolition work of existing buildings). Does anyone have experience of living near a building project like this and have any idea of whether it will be majorly noisy, or not too bad on the whole? Thanks!
