Am I just a great big wuss?

Had my first filling on Thursday - in one of my wisdom teeth. Was a very special soldier while it was being done but my jaw and teeth have been aching ever since.

Have been taking brufen and paracetamol on and off ever since, but are fillings normally this painful? (see, I was right not to have been to the dentist for 20 years...).

they can be sometimes. if no better by monday go back.(sure the nerves will settle by then)

You need clove oil on a bit of cotton wool, put it on the gum, it'll go numb instantly.

Thanks... Feeling a right old wuss but have never had anyone mess my teeth around before! My bottom teeth are also aching even though the filling was in my top wisdom tooth.

(it's possible of course that I'm obsessing about it and the sensible thing to do would be not to go for another 20 years...).

Don't be cheeky!! I started a camping thread a few weeks ago - am seriously considering it..! Only problem is, dp wants to get a tiny little tent for 50p from Aldi or somewhere - thinks it'll be fun to cuddle up to the kids. I'm not camping in anything less than a 3 bedroom monstrosity!!!!
