Letting children do a wee in the garden

When dd1 was one I had a friend round whose dd was nearly three and fully toilet-trained at the time. She asked me if her dd could do a wee in my garden, as this was what she would do at home when playing outside. I said 'not really' and I think the look on my face said it all. My friend thought I was being silly and that I would know better once my dd1 got older, but now my dd1 is three and toilet-trained herself I still wouldn't dream of letting her pee in my, let alone anybody else's garden - I would only let her wee somewhere other than on a toilet in an emergency.
What about everybody else?

I am amazed but not suprised that on this occasion I agree with Bloss

Is not pee sterile? Yes/No
Abit on the lawn is no biggie in my book but if you are at someone else place - then probably good like your friend did emkana and ask if it is socially acceptable in their state of mind.

Hope Beety does not mind dd peeing in her field! I like her to feel the breeze sometimes rather than being constantly clad in nappy

Doesnt bother me, but I would ask if its ok when round at someones. Ive had to do in trees when hiking or camping and the loos like miles & miles away. What else can you do ??????

I wouldnt encourage it but its somtimes easier when theyre playing and cant get to toilet in time. What with the state of loos in most public places , I think it'd be more hygenic for them to touch the ground than a toilet bowl !!!!!!!and thers always sterlising gel for there hands after. Of course if at someone elses house I wouldnt encourage it if they didnt approve. I think we all have to accept everyones different feelings about it
