Does anyone know how to make your own wildlife / insect box? I want to encourage them near my veggie patch.

why? aren't you supposed to keep them away?

what sort of wildlife are you hoping to attract?

The good ones that eat the aphids...bees, butterflies, ladybirds

i've got a bees nest under some rocks, they've made their nest there.

I recently took "No Nettles Required" out of the library - I'm afraid that book is of the opinion that insect houses are a waste of money but you may find some other tips. Compost heaps are good. Encouraging your neighbours not to strafe everything six-legged is also advisable.
