There's a sort of court place where the guards stand and Ive seen them do a march around there (sorry Im not very good at describing). Its near where Tony Blair lives and Big Ben and that. Does anyone know what it's called? Theres an arch that you walk through til you come to a court type thing. Sorry if noone understands what Im on about

I think you mean horse guards parade.

Bunglie · 07/08/2004 11:57

I think you mean Horse Guards Parade to, agree with Beety on this one.

I went there once for the 'Trooping of the colour' My ds was only 3 and into Thomas the Tank Engine books. In one of them Thomas gets stuck in the snow and refuses, like any self respecting tank engine to put on his snow plough.....well he comes to a snow drift and gets up steam and charges at it, all the time he is puffing....Poo Poo Silly soft stuff...Poo Poo silly soft stuff, needless to say despite his profetic poo pooing, he got stuck in the snow! (If you want to know the end of the book, I suggest you read it!)
Now I know you think Bunglies lost the plot again! However when we were at the 'Trooping of the colour', one of the horses did a 'woopsie' and my wonderful 3 year old ds said in a VERY loud voice, 'Poo Poo silly soft stuff' I was very embarrassed at the time, but it is one of my favourite memories now, so I thought I would share it with you- sorry
Now aren't you glad that I told you all of that in answer to your simple question?

Off to take 'the tablets' now and strap myself in to this nice new jacket I have with buckles at the back......

Tammybear agree with Beetroot & Bunglie and Meanbean!
I think that you are thinking of HorseGuards parade which has the entrance in whitehall. I was there last Sunday as they were changing the guards - it was fun!
