Am soooooooo cross cos had sorted what I thought was a good house-warming present for my sister - a load of funky kitchen accessories like tea towels, feather duster etc from M&S. Only to find that the delivery date is May 2008!!!!!! So am now back to square one. She is buying her first place - a newly done flat, no garden. She has a fair bit of furniture already & wants a minimalist style. Has anyone got any ideas either of where I can get the same type of stuff I originally planned, or a different present altogether. Please!!

Lakeland, TK Maxx have some great kitchen stuff. How about parcel of lovely food - i.e good olive oil, balsamic, nice salad dressings, herbs and spices etc - she'll need them anyway and there are some greatones in the supermarkets.

John Lewis have nice stuff. I like this apples retro design, or they have others

Stainless steel storage jars, good for minimalist kitchens.

Thanks ladies....some good ideas. I've found some great storage tins by Nigella Lawson so am going for those. Thanks again!
