Is glorious here. Washing is out. I have plans for a lot more. Such excitement fills my life. I can however see a Pimms in the garden in my future.

Have been into town and done a few errands. Went to the library but they didn’t have the book I wanted. Mind you, the amount of times I forget to renew and have to pay late fines, I could probably buy it for not much more expense

Off out to see parents. Mum will ask why I’m wearing jeans in this weather, why DS2 isn’t in shorts, and point to DH as a good example for having his shorts on

Gorgeous weather here as well. Been shopping things like plastic bags, coffee filter and also bought new summery bedding

Now we are home again, I have my legs out in my trendy cut-off shorts. I think if I had a bath, they could stick a camera crew in and I could be a body leg double for a kelp forest in Blue Planet III. It's obviously time for a springtime deforestation. **

Actually I need to get garden shears out for actual gardening and stuff... laters.

• NB - these are not really 'trendy cut off shorts'. They are jeans whose knees I went through so hacked the legs off completely a few years back, and now I seem to have become accidentally trendy.

** My legs are 'Winter White' - I shall suggest this to Dulux in case they need a new name for a white paint of astounding paleness

* for the benefit of any HBFs reading, my legs are white nicely tanned with lots of no hair at all. Unless you have a thing for hairy brilliant-white legs, in which case we're a perfect match.

No more DIY Badderz. Well not the kind you have to go to B&Q for anyway.

I’ve been out in the garden. Not gardening you understand. Sitting down with a glass of Pimms and a book.

My legs are of course long and lithe and lightly tanned in a sensible, safe fashion. They are not at all blindingly white and dry and looking like bits will fall off at any given moment. I will need to buy more razors for when I next shave them whenever that is. They’ll definitely get done just before the next concert I go to (end of May) as I work on the theory that you never know who you might bump into at a gig, and it’s best to be prepared

Evening. Well, the lovely weather disappeared before lunch but appears to have come back now. Like LetUs I have no more washing left in the house.

The new fridge has arrived and DH is fitting it which means the kitchen looks like a bomb has dropped on it. How I'm going to get a meal I don't know. We can't have a takeaway as I have chicken which needs to be used up.

And I’ve seen today that Aldi have got their fake Pimms in again which is miles cheaper than the proper stuff. And Morrisons have got the Elderflower and Blackberry Pimms on offer. Guess where I’m going tomorrow after I drop DS1 off at sportingactivity in the morning

Oh and earlier, as predicted, my mother did indeed ask why I was wearing jeans in this lovely weather

Anyway. DS still wants to camp outside (because, in his words, he is stubborn'). The tent is up and ready. I give us until 10pm, or 4am, and then we'll be back in the house. Think of me kindly....
