what to do?? ds confirmation

ds is getting confirmed on 17th May (he is 10)
i have let him decide his own confirmation name and sponcer (to make him feel grown up)
anyway he has chosen my brother who is a doctoe in America and who just happens to be over this month
prob is bro phoned tonight to say he is helping out at christies in Manchester from monday for 3 weeks, he is working till 5.30pm then he will have to get to the train station and get a train to Preston (journey takes about 45 mins) now the confirmation is at 7pm and he is worried he will be late and has asked me to choose somebody else
ds really wants him and i dont want anybody else to feel second best, bro said he would be at church so would you just wait and see if he gets there on time and if not chose a family member there and then or be organised and chose somebody now
also the bishop has sent out forms to be filled in that need the sponcers name and signature

Is there anyone who could go and collect your bro?

MrsJohnCusack · 11/05/2007 05:32

if he is helping out at Christies, surely they will let him leave a litle bit early for a special occasion? Or he could take some of his lunch break at the end of the day or something. Chances are he's going to make it on time anyway even leaving at 5.30, he surely only needs to leave 30 mins earlier to be sure of it

in other words, I would put your bro as the sponsor as it's great that your DS really wants him.
