I've found a bug on the sofa & after a quick google search have found it's a carpet bug!

Should I be worried if I've only found one?

Freaking out a bit .... I hate anything that crawls!

If it is the woolly bear stage that is when they eat your fabrics. If it is a tiny beetle it will have laid eggs which will hatch into the woolly bears.

You can treat the house with pet flea spray which will solve it for 6 months, but also need to remove all dust, cobwebs etc. and check for bird nests near vents as they live in those.

As a matter of course I keep all clothing, bedding etc in sealed bags and in plastic sealed boxes as we moved in to an infestation of them, and had moved out of a rental that was full of clothes moths. I treat the house twice a year to keep them under control.
