No, it is not in the least astounding LetUs , because you are intelligent, and a wench. And laws of probability mean that we are bound to manage it occasionally Grin

DH is out and I'm 'watching' an Iron Maiden compilation on TV with DS. Fortunately DS will be in bed 45 minutes ago soon, so I will have peace and quiet again.

LetUsPrey · 02/04/2018 21:42

I think it was definitely the laws of probability at play Helen Grin

DS2 is in bed —with an iPad—. DS1 is thrilled because he’s got revision sessions at school for the next two weeks. There’s a couple of days when his subjects aren’t on but other than that he’s in nearly every day, and they’re nearly all full days. Shame Grin

DH and I are going to watch NCIS. I thought second part of Ordeal By Innocence was on tonight but it’s next Sunday.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 02/04/2018 21:55

There's a rather fabulous flowchart of London Museums at londonist.com/2015/02/how-to-explore-londons-museums-and-galleries and they've had fun making it....
The National Maritime Museum, the Cutty Sark, and HMS Belfast are all connected with the comment I can still stomach plenty more seamen There is no way that's not intended as a double entendre Grin

DS1 must be thrilled LetUs Grin

I need to get stuff ready for DS havig a SportingActivityDay tomorrow. It's outside Confused I don't think swimming is meant to be involved, but looking at the weather... Confused Oh well. I need to sew his name into another coat... be still my beating heart, etc.

That maps’s brillaint. I’ve bookmarked it in case of any future trips to that there London. at stomaching plenty more seaman Grin

I’m watching Star Trek and eating crackling. I do like Zachary Quinto as Spock

LetUsPrey · 02/04/2018 23:42

I should head to the hayloft but I’m watching Greg Davies Grin

LetUsPrey · 03/04/2018 08:53

Morning wenches.

Just about to wave DS1 off for the day. Washing nearly done then time for a shower.

Will try and get those errands from yesterday finished with DS2. Need to get him to do about 15 minutes of homework and some reading today. Doesn’t sound much in the grand scheme of things does it?

And for the rest of the day, I intend to do not very much at all.

mrsreynolds · 03/04/2018 12:57

Dh back at work tomorrow so a day of visiting and errands
Sigh
Think we might pop out for something to eat later...

LetUsPrey · 03/04/2018 14:06

Errands done. Still not been to Next. Need to spread the excitement over the week.

Dishwasher is on. That’s about everything I’ve done.

At least it’s sunny (ish).

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 03/04/2018 14:34

it hasn't been raining here at all> Shock Shock

I have been helping take down signs from Village Bank Holiday Event and blethering about playground politics and suchlike. Now I am stuffing my face with cheese on toast before I go to retrieve DS from SportingActivity.

Wine for LetUs in anticipation of homework hell. Maybe Gibbs could look sternly at DS2 and that would do the trick - for you if not for him Grin

Definitely working for me... Grin

ApricotCrush · 03/04/2018 16:51

Afternoon. Lovely day here except that we had a downpour earlier and I've just remembered I've got a line full of washing. Might as well leave it now. Hmm

DH saw the consultant this morning and his other knee should be done some time in May. He can't wait nor me.

We watched Ordeal by Innocence last night. It's alright, but I wish they wouldn't jump around with the times so much, it's confusing.

We've had DGS today, I'd better go and rescue DH. Grin

mrsreynolds · 03/04/2018 17:08

Just watched it apes.
Very confusing I thought

LetUsPrey · 03/04/2018 17:40

I wish they wouldn’t do that so much too with the backwards and forwards.

Good news re MrApricot’s knee.

mrsreynolds · 03/04/2018 18:56

Oh look
Jon's happy to see me...😍

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 03/04/2018 19:01

Excellent news re. MrA's second bionic knee - he'll soon be on the golf course - and more importantly, out from under apricot's feet again Grin

I have started doing some embroidery as a gift for a friend. I used to do this all the time. I haven't done it for about 10 years. Bloody hell it's hard work now. I have borrowed a magnifying light, as well as using my glasses. And we won't even talk about the amount of unpicking (and swearing) that's been going on.

Also seem to be struggling with DS this holiday - with things to do at home that doesn't involve being him plugged into a screen or me being bored mindless as I try to play lego with him Sad He's plugged into Minecraft just now and I can hear DH being cross with him because he hasn't switched off when he said that he would.

OP posts:
LetUsPrey · 03/04/2018 19:57

He certainly is Badderz

Brandon seems thrilled I’ve popped round to see him Grin

Good luck with the embroidery Helen. My mum has some tablecloths that my grandad embroidered. They’re beautiful. I’m sure yours are lovely

Many sympathies re DS. Many. . It’ll get easier so I’m told am still waiting

ApricotCrush · 03/04/2018 20:00

I used to love doing embroidery, but I don't think I could do it now.

DGS is bored and I feel he's spent too much time on his Nintendo, my iPad and the TV today. DH spent about an hour outside with him, but he can't keep up with him. I can't remember what our two used to do before we had all the modern technology. I think there was a lot more imaginative play and they had friends in the neighbourhood but it's difficult when they're on their own.

mrsreynolds · 03/04/2018 20:21

My 2 have been pretty tired this holiday tbh and not wanted to do much.
Ds2 is getting over his cold. Ds1 is a typical teenager 😁
We've only been "out" once,
But been to grandparents houses, ds2 has been busy making models/drawing, ds1 has had homework and he is doing a badminton camp for the next 2 days.
Must take ds2 out somewhere...

mrsreynolds · 03/04/2018 20:28

I've just told jon I've got to go
Poor lad
Hes gutted

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 03/04/2018 21:44

at Jon'n'Badders pictures, and phew that not everyone else is out doing screen-free activities. Am much reassured...

We're watching a programme about climbing Everest, and DH wants me to go through a covering letter for job applications. Confused

The poor love Badderz. You’ll just have to cheer him up tomorrow.

I always had my nose in a book when I was a child and a teen. Listened to music a lot. Loved a jigsaw. Wasn’t really one for being outside, unless I had a book with me.

Tried to get DS2 outside today but it was very much a case of dodging the rain.

I’d quite like a cup of tea. Oh, how kind of you Brandon. I must thank you properly. Hmm, what to do what to do? Well, there’s a bed soooooo.....

Ah LetUs - we are the same, apart from our taste in HBFs, obvs. Grin

We're watching Philomena Cunk Grin

OP posts:
mrsreynolds · 03/04/2018 22:18

Right
Jon calls...
(I may be some time....)

LetUsPrey · 03/04/2018 22:29

He’s already undressed by the looks of it Badderz. That’ll save some seconds

I’m recording that Helen. Have been snorting every time the trailer’s been on Grin

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 03/04/2018 22:50

Hurrah for unwrapped HBFs Grin I mean, all those straps and buckles are all very well, but they're a bit faffy to get off...

Cunk was v. entertaining and there was much snorting.

Am heading for the hayloft to consider straps and buckles....
