Yes, Matt is familiar, safe and dull, albeit controlling, which is often easier to settle for than exciting and dangerous, particularly with Robin's past.

I'm glad the wedding went ahead because it places her out of Strike's reach, at least for the time being.

Also - bonus. Now that R&M are married, Strike can realise he luuuuuurves her, but missed his chance, and do the whole angsty/pining/moody thing
he could also grow his hair and wear leather, and a sword

DS2 has started watched Ninja Warrior America. Watched the Australian one last night. I am feeling rather inadequate. I think I’d probably fall up the steps going to the starting platform.

I don't think there will be any golf for some time LetUs, at least not until a couple of months after the other knee is done.

I seem to have earache, toothache and a swollen painful jaw. I look like I've had an anaesthetic Athos style. I don't think it's a tooth, rather a symptom of my tooth grinding. I've had it before, but not this bad. Woe is me.
