No really he is.
I now have to hide the dvd cos if he finds it he screams like mad until i put it on. If he finds it when i'm not in the room, then he puts it on himself (he's 19mths).

I have just put it on for him as he's a bit grumpy today, and he is glued to it. He waves to all the characters at the beginning and end and claps to all the songs

I'm going to have to wean him off it.

To make things worse, Argos are doing a range of Balamory talking toys.

sammac · 01/08/2004 18:29

And there's a load of new books out too...........

Colouring, stickers and stories

Tommy · 01/08/2004 19:58

I misread this and thought it was your DH! Let's hope it's just a phase (before you go mad)

nutcracker · 01/08/2004 21:57

God yeah i've seen those new talking toys.

I've lost count of how many times we have had it on this week.

He quite likes Andy Pandy too, i may buy him a dvd of that just so I get a break from bloody Balamory.

freeview wil work out cheaper in the long run my dear. lol

Tho my kids are upset as Boo! is only on at the weekend.

nutcracker · 01/08/2004 22:02

We have freeview Misdee, but even then if he finds his dvd, there is no persuading him.

My mom said she really really cannot see what he sees in it.

we have it too. Drives me mad. DD2 (almost 2) loves balaory too. she has the pc plum mystery dvd which i have thankfully mispalced. have weaned them back onto the baby einstein series.

harrassedmum · 02/08/2004 22:01

I love balamory! I make dd watch it. She's not mad keen though, she prefers Barney. Now that is irritating, and she too can work the video and dvd, though not the TV yet! . The bloke likes making up rude songs about them all anyway, which was entertaining till she started copying. I'm dreading her going back to creche. Dont worry nutcracker, I'm sure he'll soon grow out of it. Or you could blow the TV up.

We have a Boo DVD now - I want to see what it's like in French.....

harrassedmum · 03/08/2004 21:14

Wow!! Meeting Barney! dd would be so impressed. I see the queen also met him a few weeks ago, nice job eh?

nutcracker · 03/08/2004 21:18

We had it on again today, I can't take much more

He's not as keen on anything else otherwise i'd alternate them. He likes the teletubbies, and tweenies but wanders off after 5 minutes.
Balamory though is a different story, he sits on his bum in the middle of the room and doesn't budge.

He's also obsessed with the vacuum at the mo, odd child.

With dd, it's Noddy, Noddy, Noddy. She's nearly 22 months. She can name every single character on the programme and the other night rolled over and muttered in her sleep: 'Sorry Noddy. Love you.' She'll only eat her lunch if her toy Noddy has tasted it first and says it's nice.

I can already imagine what her first boyfriend will look like ... short dark hair, cheeky grin, button-shaped face, blue hat with a bell on the end ...

whizzz · 03/08/2004 21:33

Why are some kids progs sooooo annoying ?? DS is oito Max & Ruby ....every morning...such annoying voices & we've seen each episode at least 5 times. AArrrggh

Tanzie · 04/08/2004 00:23

My DDs are into "Come Outside" (which makes me snigger a bit with my puerile sense of humour). I find this more irritating than Balamory (tho I do want to thump Miss Hoolie from time to time) -that mad old woman. I'd cross the road to avoid her if I saw her in real life

DD1 had us all inspecting the guttering and drains after this morning's programme!!

nutcracker · 04/08/2004 08:56

Damn, forgot to hide the dvd, so he's now screaming like mad cos i've taken it off him.

He is getting slightly distracted by Hi5 but thats not much better.

Can't be doing with smiling and singing first thing in the morning

OP posts:
harrassedmum · 05/08/2004 23:06

I must be sad, I love come outside, and Hi5, even dragged dd along to watch them a few months ago. Who needs to get a life???
