Help needed quickly - just moved into my new house (yay) and need to order curtains for the living room window pronto - it is rather big and people can see straight in - feel like im living in a fish tank atm

Right :

I have 2 sofas dark brown leather
and the carpet is a caramelly/goldy/biscuity colour
Walls are cream

Curtain colour please? Going to place an online order with Next

Much appreciated!

we have same colour everthing as well... so I would say DON'T go for cream as it can make room bland...unless you have lots of strng colour things in room. I wouls suggest raspeberry as it is a great contrast color for the beige/chocolate..

Aubergene

Beccarollover · 31/07/2004 21:19

Would raspberry and aubergine work with no other raspberry or aubergine stuff in the room? I like the sound of aubergine I really like that colour - hadnt thought of deviating away from cream/chocolate/caramel colours

hmmmmmmmmmm decisions!

Can you get a "deep" cream IYKWIM, something darker and warmer than your walls, but still cream, plus some kind of texture/pattern within the weave (but still the one colour).

I hope I'm making sense here .

I think that would look classy.

was going to suggest a dark red before had read last 2 messages.

Beccarollover, we have a deep red leather sofa, heather purpley carpet and deep red curtains with a small gold pattern on them, it really adds warmth having a bit of boldish colour in amongst your brown and creams...yeh rapsberry aubergine sounds good!

Ladykennedy · 31/07/2004 22:07

you could always get a cushion for each sofa in aubergene / rasberry that way the colour ties in
