Hi All, I have just booked the local hall for my DDs 5th birthday pary (it will be her first proper birthday party!!!!!!). All I need now is some really good ideas for things to keep the kiddies happy (preferably the cheaper the better). Come one, come all.......my mind has gone blank and its only a month away

all girls or girls and boys

big hall? borrow as many large toys as you can .. does hall hold toddler sessions there, maybe you can borrow the toddler toys .. the ride on ones etc

set up a table for creative .. paper plate fish? with pritt stick and shiny bits to stick on

music and musical statues

bubble machine

soft balls and goal (if boys .. can get from elc for £10)

limit amount of organised stuff and just let them play

or go on bakerross and get the kaleidescopes kit .. that becomes the going away present too ..

girls and boys will be coming. I was thinking Fancy Dress???

Fancy Dress optional .. some kids don't like dress up

what sort of party games do you recommend? Pass the parcel/musical statues?

you could have biscuits to decorate on a table or maybe they could all make and decorate hats or something? Most kids like doing that sort of thing.
