Advice on hair removal

Can anyone give me some advice on hair removal, specifically underarms and bikini line? I get so many ingrown hairs and red, rashy skin. I've tried shaving with hair conditioner, using a special cream that's supposed to stop ingrown hairs and using depilitories (sp?). Is waxing the answer? Is there some product I should be using or some kind of special shaver? I would really love some help.

I believe I had the same problem and no, if you have ingrown hairs waxing is going to be a nightmare as well, there's a treatment called Acculight which is very similar to electrolysis but much faster (therefore cheaper). It's in the expensive side (£600 for 6 treatments done in a period 12-18m) but believe me after all the problems and holidays ruined thanks ingrown hair and red rashy skin, it has been worth every single penny.

That's really interesting. I'll definitely look into it. I know just what you mean about holidays. We went to Spain earlier this year and I felt so self-conscious. It just looks so awful. Thanks for the tip.

I have the same problem and waxing isn't the answer. I now do oriental waxing + make sure that I exfoliate every other day which has made a big difference but there are still a number of ingrown hairs.
I think I'm going to try lazer at some point - has anyone tried this/got any views on the method?
