I just wondered how many Mums Work full time?

I have a 9 yr old DD and work full time. It's tiring and housework falls behind.

How do you manage generally?

I think this is a parent issue, not a mum issue. (unless you are a lone parent)

Me. Dh isn't working at the moment and does the vast bulk of the childcare and home care.

Both of us work FT but mine is compressed into 4 days and I work in the evenings as well. I am uber organised and DH does his fair share. I have a 6 year old and a 1 year old and everything including the baby’s nappy is set out for the morning.
We wake up at 7 and we are out of the house by 8.
I batch cook on weekends.

DH does the uniforms and packed lunches when they are in bed.
Once in bed from 7:15-8 pm everyday we do housework. Cleaning, dishes, laundry.
Then we eat and then I sit down to work. I crash at 11/11:30 and tend not to have more than 20-30 mins downtime in the day. I use my commute to answer personal emails and catch up on life admin.

We also have a cleaner and a nanny who looks after the baby and the 6 year old after school. We make sure that there are minimal chores left for the weekend. So the week is INTENSE and sometimes I fall asleep on my commute home, but we do absolutely chill out on the weekends.

My house is a shit tip. My day starts at 5.30am and by the time I get home, cook dinner, chat with kids about their day the last thing I fancy doing is housework. Weekends are time to do fun stuff so it doesn't really get done then either.
