Did the car seat laws in the UK change recently, and if so... is it OK for me to have my daughter (who will be 4 by the time we get there in July) in a booster seat (no back) with the normal adult seatbelt..in the back seat of the car?

I really don't want to lug my bigger car seat on the plane, and I don't want to have to buy another one for the UK seeing as we only go for a few weeks each year.

I thought that if I could take my booster seat from here that would solve the problem! Just want to check if that is OK or not in the eyes of the law.....

TIA

Yes, a backless booster is legally OK for a 4 year old, provided she weighs over 15kg. info here and here .

According to this you should be fine.

Although it is recommended to have a highback booster seat from 15kg to 22kg although don't think this is legally enforceable.
