Should I complain?

We're having a party in the summer and I decided to get some invites done rather than writing them all out myself. So I went to an invite printing website and designed my own. They have a red chilli design on the front (it's a BBQ) and the party details on the revserse. I checked the proofs online and it all looked fine and ordered them.

They've arrived today and they are OK apart from the fact that on the reverse in addition to our party details info (which is all printed correctly) they have printed in tiny writing up the side of the invite on the right edge "designed online at www.xxxxxxxxxxxxxx.co.uk".

This was not visible in the online proof nor can I find any reference to it being on the invites anywhere on the website (inc. the T's & C'c).

Should I complain and get them to re-do?

How tiny?

fireflyfairy2 · 25/04/2007 21:02

Were they free?

I got Dh's business cards printed at Vista & as they were free I had no complaints about their website being on the back of them

I just had to pay P&P.

I doubt they would re-do them again, especially if it's policy to put their www on the back of them all.

Well, I suppose about 4 or 6 font - but you notice it immediately because it's perpendicular to the rest of the text so your eye gets drawn to it.

up to you. if it was me, and the invites were nice and i was happy with them and the writing was tiny, i dont think id begrudge them a bit of advertising. if their co.uk line was the most visible thing on the invite, i would ask them to tone it down a bit.

paulaplumpbottom · 25/04/2007 21:04

Yes have you gvuys decided on a place yet?

Pennies · 25/04/2007 21:04

No they weren't free.

I used Vista before but as they charged me twice and have been hard to get hold of then I wasn't too keen to re-use them.

Surely if it's their policy they should say as much?

Worth asking if they'll do them again if it's not in the terms and conditions.

lulumama · 25/04/2007 21:18

i would not complain

why should they not put their name on their product? same as buying something from tesco, or asda or wherever, if it is small , then hy not?

islandofsodor · 25/04/2007 22:09

I would complain. I use a local printers for stuff and would not expect any advertising on the stuff I order.

FFF2 - were yours free because they had the vista website on?
