Morning wenches.
Bads, I was reclining sitting on my chaise yesterday afternoon when I felt it shaking. I went and told DH who said 'oooh that's probably an earthquake.' I said 'Nah, it's the heating engineers messing with the pipes.'

LetUs we were going to watch Troy, but things didn't work out that way. I was happily cooking a chicken curry when my heart suddenly started pounding at a rate of knots. It didn't calm down after 15 minutes, so I checked it on my monitor and my blood pressure was 185/135 and my pulse a terrifying 173. We phoned 111 but no-one answered so DH called 999. After connecting me to various machines the lovely paramedics decided it was probably atrial fibrillation and whisked me off in the ambulance. So embarrassing, I hope none of the neighbours saw. DH followed in his car having fortuitously been given permission to drive yesterday morning by the GP.
At the hospital it gradually calmed down by itself, but I had an ECG, blood tests and a chest x-ray and saw a consultant who has put me on beta blockers and blood thinners which I have to take for the duration. This all took about 6 hours during which time I became an expert on the subject via Dr. Google. Poor DH had to sit on a hard chair with his bad leg for all this time. I told him he could come and share my trolley but it would have looked a bit weird.
He also forgot his crutches in the panic.
We finally got out at 3.00am only to find DH had left his lights on and the battery was flat.
He tried calling various taxi firms but no-one would come out. In the end a lovely taxi driver agreed to come and give us a jump start. He wouldn't have anything for his trouble. Anyway it was 4.00am before we got to bed and would you believe it I couldn't sleep, I'd gone past it. I've had about 2 hours. Maybe I can have a kip this afternoon.
Hope everyone's having a good day.
