Hoping dh actually gets up today so I can wash the frankly disgusting bedding!

I felt the earthquake yesterday!
Did you guys?
About 2.30pm?
My house sort of rumbled for about 3/4 secs

Back to school for dc tomorrow so homework day...
Oh joy!

Think dh is going to be working from home tomorrow - so I will try and keep out of the House!

Have a good Sunday x

LetUsPrey · 18/02/2018 10:10

Morning wenches.

You have a very keen sense of musical appreciation Fancy. Very admirable.

You could put him in the washer too Badderz. Didn’t feel the earthquake here.

ApricotCrush · 18/02/2018 10:25

Morning wenches.

Bads, I was reclining sitting on my chaise yesterday afternoon when I felt it shaking. I went and told DH who said 'oooh that's probably an earthquake.' I said 'Nah, it's the heating engineers messing with the pipes.' Grin Grin

LetUs we were going to watch Troy, but things didn't work out that way. I was happily cooking a chicken curry when my heart suddenly started pounding at a rate of knots. It didn't calm down after 15 minutes, so I checked it on my monitor and my blood pressure was 185/135 and my pulse a terrifying 173. We phoned 111 but no-one answered so DH called 999. After connecting me to various machines the lovely paramedics decided it was probably atrial fibrillation and whisked me off in the ambulance. So embarrassing, I hope none of the neighbours saw. DH followed in his car having fortuitously been given permission to drive yesterday morning by the GP.

At the hospital it gradually calmed down by itself, but I had an ECG, blood tests and a chest x-ray and saw a consultant who has put me on beta blockers and blood thinners which I have to take for the duration. This all took about 6 hours during which time I became an expert on the subject via Dr. Google. Poor DH had to sit on a hard chair with his bad leg for all this time. I told him he could come and share my trolley but it would have looked a bit weird. Grin He also forgot his crutches in the panic.

We finally got out at 3.00am only to find DH had left his lights on and the battery was flat. Shock He tried calling various taxi firms but no-one would come out. In the end a lovely taxi driver agreed to come and give us a jump start. He wouldn't have anything for his trouble. Anyway it was 4.00am before we got to bed and would you believe it I couldn't sleep, I'd gone past it. I've had about 2 hours. Maybe I can have a kip this afternoon.

Hope everyone's having a good day.

LetUsPrey · 18/02/2018 10:39

Oh bloody hell Apricot! That all sounds quite scary I hope you can take it easy. Also hope MrApricot is none the worse for forgetting his crutches. And a big Star to the taxi driver for giving you a jump start And yes, get some sleep if you can.

Just watching Lizzy Yarnold and Laura Deas getting their medals. I may have a little cry.

mrsreynolds · 18/02/2018 11:05

Oh apes!!

I've had am episode of AF a d it's very scary!!

Hope you are taking it easy now

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 18/02/2018 11:22

Urgh apricot that's horrible. Sad thank goodness for the nice taxi-driver. You clearly need to go back to reclining on the chaise - with HBFs waiting on you hand and foot (and any other body part of your choice Grin).

It's lovely and sunny here today. a beach trip may be on the cards. I also have winter olympics on, 2-man bob, I think Confused I thought it was going to be curling but what do I know. Ooh! It's us (GB) having a good run apparently. (also another twitter fun bit)

The earth did not move for me Badders - I will need to have words with the relevant HBFs.

Fancy - correct answer - your wenching credentials are intact Grin Star

There is another TB interview at www.tripwiremagazine.co.uk/headlines/tiom-burke-talks-third-series-strike-2/ but I think it's just a direct lift of the BBC Media pack. And the URL for the interiew is another typo -
who knew that 'Tom' was so difficult to spell Confused (Says she, queen of inaccurate typing!) And he's on Graham Norton Radio show next Sat. And something else on the radio on Saturday, but I forget what.

Excellent Twitter silliness helen - love the 'bobsleigh as competitive pea pods' comment too Grin

OMG apricot, what an awful night, hope you & MrA get a restful day and hurrah for the nice taxi driver

Hope DH is feeling better today badders?

mrsreynolds · 18/02/2018 12:27

FancyFancy · 18/02/2018 12:37

That is a start.........

mrsreynolds · 18/02/2018 14:03

Ah...back in bed
He's eating but really not himself at all
Sigh
Oh well
Ironing now...

mrsreynolds · 18/02/2018 14:55

LetUsPrey · 18/02/2018 15:19

I have decided to sack off the ironing until tomorrow.

Poor MrBadderz

Love that Olympics poster. Particularly like the “Bloody Hell” one

Hope you and MrApricot are okay this afternoon Apricot.

I am not watching a Zac Efron film. No, not me.

WickedWenchOfTheNorth · 18/02/2018 16:18

OMG Apes! What a nightmare! I hope you're having a relaxing day today CakeBrew

I've been working a bit today, not in the mood for that at all.

Why do the weekends always pass by so fast?

LetUsPrey · 18/02/2018 20:17

Time speeds up on the weekend Wicked. Fact

I’ve had a nap. The excitement.

mrsreynolds · 18/02/2018 20:27

Sent dh back to bed at 7pm
I've told him he's not going into work tomorrow
He's feeling a bit better but very weak and tired.
Just not like him 😔

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 18/02/2018 21:16

Evening. Um. We went to the beach with a small friend so I didn't have to partake in sandcastle building/destroying. That is about all. I think that LetUs must be right about the relative speed of time and the weekend Confused

Urgh. Cat vom.

Still, I got her off me, off the sofa, off the carpet and onto the hard floor before she hurled...She's just finished eating now. We may be about to have a repeat... Confused

OP posts:
LetUsPrey · 18/02/2018 21:50

Hope MrBadderz is feeling better tomorrow and isn’t contagious.

Excellent strategy there Helen with the accompanying friend. Also well done in avoiding the catvom. That’s what I try to do with the DC, although I’m not sure shrieking “not on the carpet” actually gets through.

We are watching NCIS. One stare from those blue Gibbs eyes and I’d be telling him everything.

LetUsPrey · 19/02/2018 08:19

Morning wenches

Am taking the day off sick. Going back to dentist later today. Feeling dizzy when I stand up. Woe.

FancyFancy · 19/02/2018 08:20

Morning

Somewhat grey and miserable here. Swapping my days around again, so it's work for me. Laters

mrsreynolds · 19/02/2018 09:52

Aw letus ❤
The world is falling out of my uterus so I'm in bed after the school run and shops too 😔
Dh up and working on laptop so fingers x

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 19/02/2018 10:12

Urgh LetUs Sad You clearly need to spend more time lying down with HBFs until you're better. And if you need to be upright for any reasons, then The Wall of the Tav is very sturdy and well suited to provide support to all energetic activities that you might fancy trying out...

I stayed up stupid late to get DS an ebay lego set. I got sniped twice in the last few seconds. Sad Still, at least I baked cakes for this week's packed lunches whlie I was waiting. Grin

LetUsPrey · 19/02/2018 13:48

Pleased to hear MrBadderz seems better

Back from dentist. Is dry socket/infection so have antibiotics and am warm salt rinsing every hour. I would rather be at work that’s how rubbish this is. Don’t feel dizzy any more.

Lots of very excellent suggestions there Helen. Wise Wench. Watched a Zac Efron film where he shagged a woman up against a fence so the Tav wall won’t be a challenge at all.

Bugger about the Lego.

Hope Apricot’s valves have been sorted.

Blimey!
