How much bedding do you fit in your washing machine?

Just wondered if I'm overloading.
Have a standard size machine and fit in one set of double and one of single. It is very full. Is it too much? How much do others fit in?

I tend to do one full double set - duvet, sheet, 4 pillow cases, and a towel.

Can you fit your hand with your fingers stretched out vertically between the top of the dry to-be-washed linen and the top of the inside of the machine? If so then it's not over full.

One king size set - with bottom sheet and 4 pillowcases.
Or 2 single sets with sheets.

Double duvet, double base sheet, four pillow cases. I usually fling a couple of DP's white shirts in at the same time as I never have enough whites to do the shirts separately otherwise.

depends on the capacity of your machine - a standard machine can vary from 6kg to 9kg.

generally I fit in a king set including mattress cover (7.5kg machine)

when doing DSs double sets I usually toss their towel in with it.

Back in the single days, I would put two sets of singles in one wash but maybe not always both mattress covers.

I woudl do one complete double or king set (duvet cover, sheet 4 pillow cases)
but not that plus a single.

or 2 single sets

I fit a king bedding set and 1 bath towel. I would put more in but DP works for one of the big white goods company and he said the reason people's machines don't last as long as they should is because they overfill them. The weight capacity is when it is wet so take that into consideration.
