My daughter has drawn all over her new trainers! Does anyone know how to take ball point pen ink off leather trainers?

I have washed leather trainers in the washing machine. If you are brave enough that would get the ink out.

It's a long shot but... perfume gets ball point pen AND permanent marker pen off lots of surfaces, perhaps worth a try, just test spray on an inconspicuous area and wipe with a bit of kitchen paper. HTH.

That's true. I think it's actually the isopropyl (sp?) alcohol in it. You could get some at a pharmacy as it's also used as a disinfectant.

In the name of serious research (and because it's cowardly to give out handy home hints when one has not actually tried them oneself) , I have just experimented on the back of a very old white leather trainer with ball point pen and a bit of CK1.. and.. it worked!!!! Marveled as the perfume instantly sent the biro running, much the same effect as a knocked-over water jar over that "priceless" piece of finger painting (without the tears)
