can any of you knowledgable people tell me if "racialist " is a real word???? i hear it used both in conversation and on tv and radio to replace the word racist.
is it "slang" or am i just a bloody snob?!

I didn't think it was, but I just found it in an online dictionary. I don't like it personally though, makes me hear Jade Goody saying it in my head!

According to Chambers dictionary they mean the same thing.
Actually I think racialism/racialist came first and racism/racism was a later variation.
