smelly ghosts?

Anyone ever experienced smells/scents of the ghostly kind?

For the past week I've been getting really strong floral scents in my bedroom - they wake me up and they disappear as quickly as they come.
This morning I was actually laying awake when a scent hit me. It lasted for about 5 minutes and then it was gone.

The other night I was having a disturbed dream and scent was involved and then I had that thing where someone came and sat on the bed next to me (the mattress went down)

Anyone know about this kind of thing?

It's apparently a sign that you have been visited by an angel ...

I had 2 events like this after my mum died.

The first one was in my office. I wasn't there that day, but everyone reported a very strong perfume around my desk. It was completely different from any of the fragrances that I wear.

The second was at my home. Around the dining table I had a sudden and very strong sense of the scent that my mum wore. So much so that I actually spoke to her - no matter how ridiculous that sounds!

After my mum died there were times when I would smell Johnsons baby powder in the house. We don't have any of that in the house but my mum always used it, that was her smell.

I remember sitting one night watching tv and the smell just wafted past me as if she'd just walked by, it was nice, comforting would be a better way to explain it.

I posted this on a paranormal forum and I've had a reply to say that it means it is the spirit of a woman.

Now I'm kinda tying in what the two of you say and I don't know what to think.

My mum is still alive.
One of the disturbing dreams I had which involved a scent was about my mum.

I read the title of this thread and actually sniffed my armpit to see if I had BO ...

I really have to get a life

Seriously though, I think smells are very important it this paranormal stuff. My friend's father was a bishop and he was asked on numerous occasions to exorcise a house. Smells and temperatures were the common thing that people complained of.

I don't know much about this sort of thing but I think expatinscotland (Mner) knows quite a bit I believe...
