My Mum and Dad have gone to England for the first time in 4 years and last night some git broke into their house . We think my little brother disturbed them as they didn't take much or cause too much mess. But the bloody buggers took my Grandparent's and my Mother's wedding rings, worth absolutely blooming nothing. I hope they choke on the proceeds!

how awful...

It could have been worse, they didn't take Ipod, laptop etc but these rings just can't be replaced. They are worth more than anything to my mum.

Have realised that they have also taken my paternal Grandpa's ring too. So word of warning, don't keep anything precious visable or in the same place. You could have all your sentimal stuff nicked in one go.

and [angry ] for you lucy !

sorry for your parents.

Mine had the same thing happen a few years ago - they took all my gran's wedding ring, engagement ring and other jewellery that my mum had saved (and things like the jewellery she got for her 21st).

They could replace the computer etc, but not that

When we got broken into a couple of years ago they stole my friends handbag with the jewellery in she'd been given for her sister's wedding.

Its that type of stuff which hurts most, not the easily replaceable stuff.

that's so .

When i worked in London as a nanny we were broken into while we slept...the two guys were very aggressive & forced my boss to give them all her jewellery, wedding rings included.

We had to go to Scotland yard to look through E fits...they said the 300,000 worth of jewellery they stole would prob reach no more than 2,000 on the street.

so much was irreplacable,& sentimental
