Possible move to Wirral / Liverpool

Hi all, I am seriously considering a move north to Wirral (greasby or surrounding) or Liverpool with my two teens ages 13( daughter) and 14( son) I was just wondering if anyone else had moved to those areas with teens and how they found the move.....also did your teens speak to you again??!! Lol. I'd also be interested i meeting new friends in those areas so I have a network if I move x

How do you think the kids would handle it?

A year isn't very long at all really but on the other hand, as you say, there's little support where you currently are.

I worry a bit about you moving in with his Mum though....you should be able to manage to organise a rental before you move down.

That would be better...why would you move there before then?

I moved to Oz with my Australian DH after I'd been with him for ten years and that was a big leap of faith.

I made the choice eventually because someone told me "You regret the risks you didn't take"

I figure, if it goes wrong OP, then you will have a bit of a mess on your hands but it won't be unfixable.

The move to his mums for us would be the natural step, she is very supportive and did the same for his brother and girlfriend who moved in with her for a year while they saved for their own place. she also has her mum and dad there (it sounds busy but it works and as a family they are so so supportive). In my mind if I moved in with her for a couple of months this would give me the chance to save and get a property that is right for us. My boyfriend works and his old Manager has kept in touch and has repeatedly said he would take him back ( he transferred to be with me). So we would ave money coming in, I looked at jobs there a few months back and saw lots of jobs for me and I even had a few offers but I got cold feet.
I love the advise given to you before you moved. Your move must have been terrifying! But despite the fear did you know in your heart it was the right thing?
