Fire pits without the smoke

Hi Have finally assembled our firepit bargain off e-bay but how do you get a decent fire going without shed loads of smoke? Help please befoe all our neighbours complain?

What is a fire pit ?

Most firepits are built to take solid fuel so just buy smokeless.

If you are actually building a fire from wood etc then the best bet is just to make sure it is all very dry.
