I'm on BT wireless networki, they help me set up ages ago.

Thanks to my neighbour who came round earlier to tell me, my sign in details are no encrypted and he could sign in

You have to set up your own firewall, I don't think it's BT's responsibility to do it.

Yep. We could use two other wireless networks if we felt the urge.

you can configurate the modem to

  1. not braod cast your wireless network, so anyone searching for a netwrok cant find it

  2. only let certain computers "in".... you put in the serial number type thing of the wireless card, and it ONLY lets that exact machine use your network. You can authorise as many machines / laptops etc that you choose, it just means that ONLY computers you are happy with wil have access to your wireless signal.

Suggest you do both of the above

Just because they use your wireless signal doesnt mean they can automatically see whats in your pc
