i mean, i have seen some GODAWFUL things that people are snapping up. most of the stuff in the magazines look horrible to me, all big flowers and horrible colours.

a few years ago, people wouldn't have been seen dead in a skirt that looked like it had been made from a pair of their grans old curtains, now they are all over the place.

so how can something be horrible one minute and lovely the next?

surely this means that very many people would wear a bin liner covered in cat shit if the magazines said it was This Seasons Must Have.

on another level fashion is very subjective. and personal. we needn't all be sheep that wear bright pink beads and stripy tops ala circa 1983

I wonder that too mytwopenceworth. I've been wearing flarey sort of jeans - I'd never have beleived it a few years ago when everything was straight as straight. But somehow you sort of get used to it. I hate that. Want to be independent-minded but somehow you get sucked in and anyway there usually isn't anything else to buy anyway.
