you're far too trendy for a mummy well i've heard of just over half of these, which is a startbut couldn't name a track off any of the albums. Is robert wyatt anything to do with the guy that originally wrote "shipbuilding" or am I getting muddled?

I love Belle & Sebastian and the stuff i've heard by Franz Ferdinand is pretty good too. Amy Winehouse is a bit different, not your average manufactured pop songstress.

All the tips are for The Streets.
I find Keane and Snow Patrol a bit MOR - pleasant but........Prefer Franz Ferdinand or Belle & Sebastian for kookiness factor.
I don't think the Zutons have done enough to deserve an award - they've only released one single haven't they?
Yes, that Robert Wyatt, although Shipbuilding was actually written by Elvis Costello. He's something of a long term hero of mine.

elvis costello & clive langer wrote shipbuilding. wyatt recorded it as a single years ago and rather excellent it is too, ty are supposed to be good but never heard anything

That Cry Your Eyes song makes me cringe. David Beckham trying to be sincere. Shockingly bad 6th form "poetry"

and Suede covered Shipbuilding as well - surprisingly not too badly IMHO
