and does it have ads in that aren't on rightmove or the other big portals? only I'm starting to panic.....

need rented 3 (pref 4) bed house with garden, close to or in chesterfield or matlock. ideally stating min 12 month let or somesuch and ideally without an agent. agents are bloodsuckers ime.

not picky am I?

Normally the property pages have less properties in than online, and the online sites are more up to date. That is certainly the case in Sheffield anyway.

Are you visiting the websites of the Derbyshire estate agents, rather than just place slike Rightmove? I found the individual sites much better.

SenoraPostrophe · 12/04/2007 21:25

yep. had to dig around to find them though! but that's good - we flog websites to estate agents so I can use that later... They all seem to have only the ones on rightmove plus a million "let agreed" properties.

I was rather hoping there'd be a small ads section where landlords could solicit tennants direct.

It is also worth calling round some estate agents and registering your interest with that, detailing what you are lookign for that. That way is new properties come in they can contact yu about them straight away.

Blundells - this is a fairly large estate agents covering that area, with a good reputation too.
Bothams
Spire estates

Yell search for: estate agents in Chesterfield
and Matlock

ah, x posts.

ooh, no hang on, I say that - I didn't find all those sites before. I've also found another one that has some for rent (was a bit worried that we'd have to choose our location based on where houses are available)

Try This is Derbyshire

I think Derby Evening Telegraph may follow the NOttingham Evening Post - big property supplement is Thursday but I think there is a lettings/rental property on Mon or Tues (Wed - jobs, Fri - cars and entertainment iirc)

thisisDerbyshire seems to use the same search engine as fish4property. which is odd.

I don't suppose anyone couls save and scan the renatls page next week could they?
