Just watched 'The Evacuees' on BBC 4

and cried all the way through...Was anyone else watching? It is such a perfect play and was shown on the BBC when it came out in 1975 - It just shows how much television has become dumbed down since...

That was the Maureen Lipmann play, wasn't it? I remember when it was on first...it was very moving, made me cry all the way through too. Jack Rosenthal died recently, is that why it was on?
