Idiot's AOL/Outlook Express question

Does using AOL stop you being able to use Outlook Express? Fairly sure it does but wasn't sure if it was just my ancient computer last time that was stopping it.

I know this used to be the case that AOL did not allow POP3 access to AOL email, not sure of the current situation. Although there is a program that claims to work called eNetBot, you can download a 30 day free trial from this site.
