ds2 is 8 and has been growing his hair for ages.

we both aggreed (or rather he said he doesn't care) that we should go get it cut as he hates me brushing it in the mornings and it stresses us out sometimes.

but, i'm not sure now i want to cut off his lovely thick hair.

it's not that long, think skateboarder style

He says he doesn't mind how long it is so if you keep it it'll be because it's your preference.
Is it fair to make him submit to the brushings just so his hair is how you like it?

Besides, it's hair, it'll grow back. It's not like he wants a tattoo .

he likes his hair long as skateboarding and bmx is what he is into but he doesn't like washing /brushing it!

thought i'd got away with this kind of thing having boys!

My nephew used to have wonderful long hair that we thought he liked because he said he did. He's just told his dad that he was teased unmercifully at school but didn't like to tell his parents because they liked it so much! My ds has quite long hair too, and I worry that it might be for me not him, so as soon as he says he wants it cut (please, please, please not soon!)I'll cut it. Remeber it'll grow back! I won't cut it quarter of an inch all over though even if he does want it like that!
