Where to find a toy road

DS1 is 5 and is a Formula 1 addict. He says he wants a toy road/race track for Christmas. He's got a road rug, magic tracks and a scalectrix but It's not that He's after. He's thinking a road he can clip together to make different routes and push his cars along. I remember having something similar as a child but I can't for the life of me find it. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Plan toys used to do a wooden one a bit like Brio but with road??

We've got Magic Tracks. I think he's after something more realistic. I'm sending my dad to raid the attic and see if my old one is still up there!

We used to have some Lego road pieces, about 9" square,, with different layouts, curves, junctions etc.. Can' remember whether they clipped together, though.

Orchard toys do a giant road jigsaw. I think that is what you are looking for.
