We went for a walk in the woods this pm.
A peaceful stroll, dh with his big stick,
dd1, recovering from poorlyness, dd2 being cute, and myself....telling tales of spooky happenings in the woods(not kind, i know)

The children started to do tree rubbings, under he supervision of DH, I was being spooked by sounds in the trees.
When all of a sudden, a large dog, like the one in the Omen, came pounding towards us, stopped a few feet from dh &dc(between them and i)
It then started to bark. No owner was in sight. My dd2 and i are nervous around dogs and i knew how scared she was.
I asked dh to hold onto dd2, to reassure her, he stared at me in fright...then dd2 ran screaming over to me.

Then at the bottom of the footpath i spotted the owner with another dog, he was shouting for the dog.......the dog stopped and ran happily back to it's owner.

Not blaming anyone, just something that shook us all up, thought i would share...DD2 wanted me to carry her back, my legs were like jelly.
Home safe and sound now
