Have painted the walls a pastel lemon and she has lilac carpet. I have put her moses basket up and there is a pine tall boy in there but thats it Cot won't be here until nearer her birth.

Have looked on all the normal websites such as Mothercare, Babies R Us etc and can find nothing

Anyone?

megandsoph · 07/04/2007 19:32

Lulu no hun at Blackpool Vic

Lovely idea sparkly windchime.

Twiglet not sure if the yellow against yellow would go but that picture is gorgeous!

Have been trying to find stickerounds and all I seem to find are Bratz n Barbie

Can't belive all inspiring thoughts have gone. The girls rooms were both gorgeous when I had them.

Deffo think I should get shelves. Never thought of that Doh!

Thanks all.

Roseanna · 07/04/2007 19:35

Your baby won't find it boring

I have jungle stickaround in DD's room over green and blue walls and will be putting ocean ones in the next over blue and yellow walls. I like the way I can take them off and it is a normaly room and they can come with us if we move.
I got them from ebay.

Also my best thing ever in DD's room is a sofa, just a cheapo 2 seater one (an old one of ours) but for nightfeeding and cuddles it's a godsend! Much more comfy than a chair!

megandsoph · 07/04/2007 19:36

Oooo Nemo I do love that mobile. Think I have to re open my ebay account.

hehehe I like the stickarounds for the girls room they are lovely!!

chirpygirl · 07/04/2007 19:36

normaly? where did that come from!

Twiglett · 07/04/2007 19:39

that mobile is shite

think of it .. a baby lies underneath .. what does it see? .. right up the fairies' skirts that's all .. how uninteresting is that ... mobiles should point downwards

megandsoph · 07/04/2007 19:41

hehe Rose yes you are right its for me really but I just don't like going in and its just blah.

Oh no I will meet my fellow lancashire lasses one day lulu baby is due May 29th although looking at me she may fall out sooner.

I like the hint of lilac in these

I hand painted some canvases for ds's room while i was pregnant.
His bookshelves were full before he was born because i'm a bookaholic!
We bought a beautiful wooden flying goose with a little boy on his back for the ceiling.
I painted tiny stars all over the ceiling too.
We bought a huge rocking chair & painted it white & added some unusual cushions...great for storyreading.
I bought a changing unit which is now great for toy storage & also a toybox & upholstered a cushion for the top to make it into a seat.
I put up some white ikea shelves to display some vintage toys, books, soft toys etc
& lastly a lovely rug.

I luuuuuuuuurve ds's room

megandsoph · 07/04/2007 19:47

Wow Lulla thats sounds lovely I may get dd's to do some hand prints in funky colours on canvas or something. Oh yes that does sound like fun!!

We recently did canvases of our footprints and displayed them in order of size so it looks like they are walking up the wall
great fun!

megandsoph · 07/04/2007 19:54

Have just told DDs about it and they are really excited. Well that gives us something to do if the weather changes next week.

MegandSoph - did my link work?

They have beautiful removable stickers - fairytale theme or bunting and letters. If all goes well and I move I will buy the fairy stickers

Nip · 07/04/2007 21:27

i bought some box framed prints from ikea - nice pastel colours and put them up - they look really nice and DS is always pointing to them.

Lact8 · 07/04/2007 21:43

I got the bunting from JoJo Maman for DD's room, gingham pattern in pink and two shades of lilac, it looks very pretty but not in yer face like some of the choices for little girls' rooms, pink, pink, pink, pink....
